On September 29th, 2017, at Long Hau Industrial Park, Can Giuoc District, Long An Province, the seminar "Green Factory in Long Hau IP" was held by Long Hau Joint Stock Company in collaboration with Vietnam Green Building Council.
In order to enhance the knowledge of Green Building, with the presence of experienced speakers in this industry, the workshop was successful with the participation of over 70 representatives from interested enterprises.
At the beginning of the workshop, Mr. Vu Linh Quang - Vice President of ARDOR Sustainable Design spoke about the definition, green building rating system and criteria such as LEED (USA), LOTUS (Vietnam). At the same time, he also answers the common misconception about the Green Building of the business.
Le Luong Vang, Green Building Engineer, Royal Haskoning then shared the benefits and costs of implementing Green Building, his presentation helped investors better understand why Green Building is more effective than conventional Industrial works.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tam - Investment Promotion Specialist of Long Hau IP also said that the infrastructure of Long Hau Industrial Park meets the criteria of Green Building. With these criteria, enterprises can completely rest assured investment projects, green plants in the long-term sustainable development environment in Long Hau Industrial Park.
In addition, Mr. Vo Tan Thom, Maintenance Supervisor of German Deutsche Bekleidungswerke Limited (DBW Ltd) also provided insights of the design, system using the factory as well as sharing experience in building Green Factory as practical implementer. He also mentioned the opportunities and challenges in building Green Factory that businesses need pay attention.
Phùng Thị Lan Phương, HR, admin and compliance manager at DBW Lt., said the task of building green factory had faced many problems caused by difficulty in getting workers with awareness of energy-efficient methods.
The Vietnam Technical Value Construction JSC. also added advantages when investing in Long Hau Industrial Park, including complete infrastructure system, modern wastewater treatment system, especially facilities in Long Hau IP is fully compliant with LEED certification. He also expressed his impression by the vision of Long Hau Corporation, becoming "LEED-certified industrial zone by 2022".
After the presentation of the speakers at the workshop, the guests had a site visit at DBW plant, a so-called greenest factory in Vietnam which is a typical Green Building successfully operated in Long Hau Industrial Park.
